In 2004, I left behind all of the jobs I had tried out and got licensed to become a Realtor®. I eventually got my broker's license and opened my own firm with a business partner.
I was excited to fully realize the hustle I had within me. I was incredibly driven in the residential real estate world and I believed that my professional passion was truly emerging. I just kept on striving!
By 2010, I was in charge of our property management division overseeing 250 homes (remember this is during the great recession, we were helping homeowners hold on to their properties!) I was personally averaging 5 home sales a month, AND I served as the Managing Broker of our firm.
All of this and I was a young mother to two children under the age of five... Sounds like a lot right? Yep it was! There were struggles upon struggles. To say I was hitting walls in my professional growth was an understatement.
I have always had the mindset that failure isn’t the answer, but boy can entrepreneurship be hard and lonely!
"Sometimes it isn’t the passion, hustle or drive that motivates you to get out of bed,
it's the reality that you have to make payroll, get kids to their events, run a household."
The space for my passion got squeezed out. What was I doing this all for?
I needed to reach into my soul to find where my true passions lay. I can say now that I was fortunate enough to be able to experience some very huge changes in my life that, while exceptionally painful at the time, led me to gain perspective on what truly fulfilled me. I can see now how those experiences helped me discover just how I wanted to show up and who I wanted to be in my life.
It was during this time that I discovered coaching.
I received my coaching education from
Radiance Partners, LLC. Their coaching philosophy, which I wholeheartedly subscribe to, blends
scientific principles with a
spiritual foundation to increase client self awareness and well-being.
The spiritual foundation being the connectedness of all people and the meaningfulness of each of our individual lives. Neuroscientific principles explain how coaching works with the natural functioning of the human brain, creating new neural pathways that better serve clients to meet their goals.
Literally you can rewire your thinking to live more in alignment with the life you want!
